Came back to my parents' place in Kedah for the Eid holidays :)

so..last nite dad was talking about this plot of land that used to "belong" to grandpa before the government took it back for some development project some 20 years ago. Because the projects werent realised, dad said he's sending in application to re-occupy the land.

the plot of land is an hour's hike away (in a secondary jungle) from his current fruit orchard.

dad: so...follow me to the plot of land tomorrow ya. wake up early...eat breakfast and get ready by 8.

me: O_O oh...okkkkkkk



9am this morning we left for his orchard. Hadnt been to his orchard at all the last 2 years so i was kinda surprised to see that the place was overgrown with weeds.


first sight that greeted me:



a suicidal garfield! :p dad hung sis' whacked out garfield on one of the fruit trees to scare away em pesky monkeys :p i gotta give it to him..he's creative like that :p


and then...he chucked this pair of beaten canvas shoes in front of me:





me: erm...where do you want me to dump these?

dad: dump??...u're gonna wear them...there's no way you're going into the jungle wearing those slippers (flops).


me: O_O !!






apparently thats not all. he handed me a pair of mismatched socks to go with em hip shoes!! :p


the hike wasnt as hard as i had imagined. But it'd have been alot easier if it hadnt rained so much the past few days. the ground was wet and muddy at places. leeches were everywhere..4 got onto my legs ! :p


and we saw a bunch of crystal fungi growing on a fallen rubber tree.







urgh...the leeches' doing.
